Detached New Build in Woking, Surrey

This job was part of a small private development in Send, just outside Woking. We were brought in to build one of seven detached homes on a quiet, tree-lined lane. The client wanted a high-spec finish from the outset, and the plans were detailed, with good drawings, a clear specification, and a tight programme.

The site itself was relatively straightforward, with level ground and decent access. However, with multiple plots being built simultaneously, coordination with other trades and deliveries required some planning. We had our entire team involved, from groundworks through to handover. The foundations were installed cleanly, and the superstructure was erected without issue.

The house featured a four-bedroom, five-bathroom layout with a large, open-plan kitchen and dining area at the back. We installed underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and fitted a kitchen, which was delivered to the site on time and slotted in without any significant adjustments. Internally, the client sought a clean, modern finish with traditional touches, solid timber doors, sash-style windows, and brickwork detailing that complemented the local character.

Externally, we used high-quality facing brick and clay tiles, with landscaping carried out at the end to match the rest of the private road. We also built the garage and handled all service connections, including drainage, electrics, and fibre.

The build ran for just under a year. We had a clear schedule and regular site meetings with the developer, so any changes were addressed promptly. Snagging was minimal. The house was finished to a high standard, inspected and signed off, and handed over without delay.

It’s a solid, well-built home that reflects what we aim to do on every project: work efficiently, keep things moving, and deliver what we promised. Nothing flashy, just proper building done right.
